Korben GMS — Landing V2.5

Hypermarkets · Supermarkets · Convenience stores

Your teams arrive at 5 AM.
Upon opening, The ground has already taken everything.

Cartons, pallet jacks, back-and-forth trips to the storage room: the store is dirtied before the first customer arrives. And cleaning remains just one more line on your list, between restocking and shelf-merchandising. The Korben robot washes the night, forward during the day, and you remove this task.

When all is said and done, the cleaning is still up to you.

Store floor marked with wheel tracks and dust at the end of the day

Restocking, shelving, orders, scheduling, register, disputes. And cleaning. On paper, just one task among others. In reality, the one you put off — because it's the only one whose results no one asks you for until it's too late.

Your teams start at 5:00 AM. You open at 8:30 AM. In between, we had to stock the shelves: cardboard boxes, roll cages, pallet jacks, trips back and forth to the stockroom. The floor takes the brunt of all that. The store is dirtied even before it has opened.

So someone is running the scrubber-dryer. Three hours and forty-five days a day at a downtown Intermarché Express — every day, for a result that depends on who is there that morning.

It is not a problem with the cleaning quality. It is one task too many, on an already full list.

A normal day

The floor is dirtied before
The first customer enters.

From 5 AM to 9 PM, here is what really happens in a convenience store. You'll recognize every line.

05:00
The teams are arriving. Shelf-stocking is beginning.
Cardboard boxes, rolls, pallet jacks, back-and-forth trips to the stockroom. The floor takes all of that for three and a half hours—even before the first customer pushes open the door.
08:30
You open. In the state the merchandising left the store.
Nobody had time to go back over it: the shelves had to be finished. And that's when the impression matters most, with the first customers of the day.
14:00
A broken pot, radius 4.
Someone is taking care of it. Meaning: someone who is away from their post for twenty minutes, on a day when you were already short-staffed.
18:30
Peak traffic in narrow aisles.
Tighter checkout lines, heavy foot traffic, compact zones. The moment with the most crowds is precisely when the floor has taken the hardest beating.
21:00
Closing time. And the floor scrubber needs to be run.
A long, repetitive task at the end of the day, by someone who has already put in their hours. At Intermarché Express Villeurbanne, it was 3 hours and 45 minutes a day. And tomorrow, it starts all over again at 5 a.m.

What if all of this was already done
when do you arrive in the morning?

See how it looks on my end

The moment of reckoning

You can't see that on a dashboard.
You can tell on a Tuesday at 4:20 PM.

Customer stopped in front of a refrigerated aisle, looking down at the floor

A female customer stops in front of the chilled aisle. She looks at the floor. She says nothing, she takes her product and she leaves. You will never know if she came back the following week.

Or maybe it's the brand audit. The quality referent drops by at 8:00 AM: everything is perfect, he gives a good score. You know very well that at 6:00 PM it would be a different score — and that it's just a matter of luck.

No one will send you an invoice for that. That is the real issue: it is a cost you pay without ever seeing it go by.

What it really costs

Three bills you already pay,
and that appear nowhere.

Employee cleaning the floor during business hours
01 — IMAGE

Your customer judges in a few seconds.

He doesn't differentiate between the cleanliness of the aisle and that of the floor: he judges the whole thing. A cart mark, a wet spot, dull tiles — and the impression is made before he has even picked up a single product. You redid the aisles last year. He's looking at the floor.

02 — YOUR TIME

It is just one more task on your list.

Cleaning is not a separate service: it is just another line item alongside restocking, shelving, and scheduling. Every added cycle becomes a trade-off — and in a trade-off, cleaning is always what gets cut. You aren't asking your teams to do a bad job: you are asking them to do the impossible, and everyone knows it.

03 — REGULARITY

Without a schedule, cleanliness is a lottery.

It depends on who is there, what time it is, and whether the replacement knows the store. The result is never the same twice—and that is exactly what a brand audit or mystery shopper uncovers on a day when things go badly wrong.

The solution

He washes at night.
He comes back during the day.

A complete cycle during closing so the store is clean before your teams arrive. Then a second run during the day, among customers, to maintain the standard until evening. You set the pace once; it maintains it every day, including Mondays when two people are missing.

Clean upon opening

The night shift is over when your teams arrive. They stock the shelves on a clean floor, and you open without having to choose between restocking and cleaning.

Designed for a vibrant store

The second pass takes place in broad daylight, with customers present. The robot detects people, slows down, and bypasses shopping carts and roll containers, including narrow aisles and tight checkout lanes.

Traceable

Task reports and precise tracking: you know what was cleaned, when, and in which area. No need to ask or find out the next morning.

How he works

STEP 01

Mapping

A Korben technician takes a first tour of the store with the robot. It learns your aisles, your obstacles, your restricted areas.

STEP 02

Night cycle

During the closure, he cleans the entire store. The work is finished before the teams arrive at 5 AM.

STEP 03

Second daytime visit

At the time slot you chose, customers present. It detects, slows down, and bypasses — no marking, no aisles to close.

STEP 04

Task report

Treated areas, schedules, duration. You can check at a glance what has been done, without having to double-check behind them.

Arbitration

3h45 per day, every day.

This is what the manual operation of the scrubber-dryer represented at Intermarché Express Villeurbanne. The question is not «can I afford it,» but rather «how much is it already costing me to do it by hand.».

Funding

Two ways to get it.
You choose according to your cash flow.

No hidden formulas or lengthy quotes: there are only two setups, starting from €14 excluding VAT per day, and the right one mostly depends on how you prefer to incur the expense.

Formula 1 — Leasing

No cash outflow

The robot is financed over 60 months. You pay nothing upfront at installation and the expense is recorded as an operating expense, spread over five years. This is the most common setup in stores.

starting from 17 €Excluding tax / day

Depending on the model chosen for your surface area. 60-month financing.

Zero initial investment
A single budget line, known in advance
60-month commitment
Formula 2 — Purchase

You are a homeowner

You buy the robot outright. Added to this is a monthly fee for using and accessing the Korben service — supervision, updates, support — with no fixed-term commitment.

starting from 14 €Excluding tax / day

Depending on the model chosen for your area, the details of the purchase price and the service monthly payment are given to you during the diagnosis.

The cleaning range

Four robots. Only one is made for your surface.

The choice is not based on the technical data sheet, but on your store layout: aisle width, floor type, storage areas, opening hours. That is the entire purpose of the assessment. Please note: the range is sized for surfaces of 100 m² minimum.

Objections

The seven questions
that is posed to us
with every diagnosis.

Is there one left? Ask an expert directly at 01 83 75 57 23, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Can the robot operate with customers in the store?
Yes, that is even its very purpose. It is programmed according to your schedules, your transit areas, and your traffic constraints. It detects people and obstacles, slows down, and goes around them. You do not need to mark out paths or close off a walkway.
At what surface area is it worth it?
Starting from 100 m². Below that, the solution is not sized appropriately: manual cleaning remains faster and more economical, and automated pacing does not provide any real benefit. Beyond this threshold, everything depends on the store configuration—aisle width, floor type, operating hours—not just square footage.
Should you buy the robot, and how much does it cost?
Two options, depending on your cash flow situation. Leasing, starting from €17 excluding tax per day: a 60-month commitment, with no cash outflow upon installation — you spread the expense over five years. The purchase, starting from €14 excluding VAT per day: you become the owner of the robot, supplemented by a monthly fee for use and access to the Korben service, with no commitment period. In both cases, the exact amount depends on the model chosen for your surface area; an expert will detail this for you during the assessment.
Is it useful if we already have a team or a service provider?
Yes, and that is the most frequent case. The robot doesn't replace your teams: it takes over the repetitive cycles that no one has time to do three times a day. Your teams keep the value-added tasks—and the level of cleanliness becomes consistent.
Can I see the robot in action before committing?
Yes. During the diagnosis, a Korben expert comes to your store and shows you the robot in operation, in your aisles and during your operating hours. For configurations that require it, a real-world test session lasting a few hours or a day can be organized as a dedicated service. We do not promise an extended free trial: experience shows that this mostly delays your decision.
Is the store really clean before opening?
This is the main objective of the system. The complete cycle is scheduled during closing and finished before your teams arrive. They stock the shelves on a clean floor, and you no longer have to choose between restocking and cleaning at 5 a.m. The second daytime pass is then used to maintain the level until evening.
Is it noisy during opening hours?
The robot is designed to operate in the presence of customers. The exact noise level depends on the model chosen for your premises; it will be communicated to you during the assessment, prior to any commitment.
Who installs the robot and trains the teams?
Korben handles commissioning, store mapping, and support for your teams. The exact process is defined with you during the assessment.
What happens in the event of a breakdown?
Korben support can be reached directly, and our customer service platform is located in the Yvelines department — not on the other side of the world. The service and maintenance terms are specified in your rental agreement.
